Cookie policy
Which cookies MedicalVocabulary.org uses and why.
MedicalVocabulary.org is designed with the privacy by design principle: we do not use profiling cookies, we don't install advertising pixels, and we don't sell or share data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies used
- Session technical cookies - when you sign up or sign in, we keep your session active through a PHP session cookie. It is automatically removed when you close the browser or sign out. These are strictly necessary technical cookies and do not require prior consent.
- localStorage for preferences - some preferences (e.g. the fact that you saw the cookie banner) are saved in your browser's localStorage. These are not real cookies; they stay on your device and are never sent to the server.
Cookies we do NOT use
- Google Analytics and other analytic tracking tools
- Facebook, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn pixels and similar
- Advertising cookies from Google AdSense or display networks
- Third-party profiling cookies
Third-party cookies
When you click on a social share button (WhatsApp, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Telegram), you are redirected to the respective sites. From that point on, their privacy policies apply:
How to manage cookies
You can delete cookies and local data at any time from your browser settings. Disabling session technical cookies means you will not be able to use the user area.
