Epigastrium

The part of the abdominal wall above the umbilicus (belly button).

The hypogastrium is the part of the abdominal wall below the umbilicus.

The abdominal wall can thus be divided into upper and lower halves.

Or it can be further divided into quadrants by also drawing a vertical line through the umbilicus
