Leukemia, acute
Cancer of the blood cells (leukemia) that progresses rapidly, as opposed to chronic leukemia which progresses slowly.
The two major types of acute leukemia are acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and acute myelocytic leukemia (AML)
