Subway diet:

The Subway diet is a weight loss plan popularized in 2004 by Jared Fogle, who claims that he lost over 245 pounds in one year by eating sandwiches from the Subway chain.

Fogle replaced his 10,000 calorie per day food consumption with one small turkey sub and one large veggie sub along with some baked potato chips and diet soda, a total of about 2000 calories.

While the 'Subway Diet' may result in weight loss due to an overall reduction in calories consumed, it severely restricts food choices.

Most experts believe that a balanced diet containing a variety of different foods is the healthiest way to lose weight.

The SUBWAY® chain does not endorse the diet Jared created and cautions anyone embarking on a weight-loss plan to consult their physician
